Frequently asked questions about group trips to Linz

How much does the service of creating a program, planning, or finding accommodation cost?

The service provided by the Linz Tourist Board is free of charge. There are also no commissions.

How does program creation work—are there fixed programs?

We plan individually for each group. Therefore, there are no fixed program schedules or fixed prices. You are welcome to let us know your wishes, and we will make suggestions or a mixture of both. Your desired program items will be coordinated directly with our partner companies by the Linz Tourist Board and arranged into a suitable sequence.

What role does the Tourist Board play in creating group programs?

We channel the offerings in the Linz region and act solely as an intermediary.

How does the accommodation search work?

Please provide us with the number of people, number of double/single rooms, dates, desired category, and desired meals (breakfast/half board). For school group inquiries, please also provide the ages of the students and the ratio of boys to girls. We will have suitable establishments send you offers directly by email.

How is the transaction completed?

The booking is made directly between you and the establishment. A booking is only valid once it has been confirmed in writing by the establishment.

What is the legal situation when making a booking?

A contract is concluded exclusively between you and the respective companies. The Linz Tourist Board is not responsible for the fulfillment of the services arranged. The Tourist Board is not liable for services not rendered.

What do I need to bear in mind with regard to email confirmations?

After booking your group trip, you will receive confirmations from the respective institutions directly by email. Please check that you have received all confirmations and that they are correct (date, number of people, time, etc.).

What are the cancellation conditions for my group trip?

As several program items are usually booked in addition to accommodation, there is no general answer to this question. The cancellation conditions vary and must be clarified directly with the respective company in each case. The Linz Tourist Board is not liable for cancellation fees.

What happens to my data?

We treat your data with great care. In the interests of legitimate interest, we reserve the right to forward your data to the respective institutions in Linz in order to send you the offers or confirmations you have requested. Further information on data protection.

After completing your booking, you will receive a questionnaire from us by email after your departure from Linz.
