voestalpine museum of contemporary history

This exhibit focuses on forced laborers at the Linz location of Reichswerke Hermann Göring, their fates and life histories.

The Hermann Göring works have had a large influence on the structure and economy of Linz. They have sustainably changed the social fabric of the city. The traces the works left behind in public life are still apparent today. Contrastingly, the effect on the former victims, the nature of their being forced and the extent of their labor was suppressed for many years and hidden from the public eye for a long period of time. A central objective of this exhibit is to tell the truth.

Tip: free guided tours every Thursday and Saturday at 3 pm.
