Anton-Bruckner-Museum Ansfelden

The Anton Bruckner Museum in Ansfelden is the birthplace of the famous composer and musician. It serves as a symbolic place dedicated to the life and work of Bruckner.

The museum preserves the memory of Bruckner's musical legacy and his deep roots in Upper Austrian culture. Visitors can admire Bruckner's personal artefacts, musical instruments and manuscripts, which offer an insight into his creative work and everyday life. The historic building reflects the rural surroundings and the time in which Bruckner lived. It is a place of inspiration and education that attracts not only music lovers, but also historians and those interested in culture.

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner's birth in 2024, the province of Upper Austria is organising the Upper Austrian KulturEXPO. In addition to the modified permanent exhibition, which includes original items of the musician's clothing, the special exhibition "Anton Bruckner - From Marble to Myth" will be shown in Bruckner's birthplace.

From 2025, the birthplace will be enriched with essential elements of the KulturEXPO. A central highlight of these measures is the construction of an exemplary listening room that offers visitors an unprecedented experience. In this room, guests can interactively navigate through the world's largest Bruckner sound archive, discover a variety of Bruckner's works and listen to them in high quality.
