Following a trail of historical breadcrumbs Cycling the R6 Roman Bike Path

Follow historical footsteps through old Roman settlements along the Roman Bike Path, which leads from Passau to the former Roman legion settlement of Lauriacum, now Enns. The Roman Bike Path spans a total of 242 km, 178 km of which are located in Upper Austria, with the remaining 64 km in Bavaria, Germany.

Infoboards along the route help bring ancient Roman history to life, accompanying you along the path. The stage of the Roman Bike Path between Lambach and Ansfelden follows the same route as the Traun Cycle Path, but branches off towards St Florian from Ansfelden, proceeding to Enns, where the route ends.
