Follow the path of Bruckner’s life The R14 Anton Bruckner Bike Path

The relatively short 34-km Anton Bruckner Bike Path (R14) was created to honour the Ansfelden-born composer. Starting in Nettingsdorf, the trail leads through his birthplace to St Florian, where Bruckner was active in the community, service as a choirboy as a young child, and where he was later laid to rest in the crypt beneath the great monastery organ. From St Florian, the path continues along towards Enns, or you can take a shortcut by heading directly towards the Abwinden-Asten power plant, where the trail links up with the Danube Bike Path.

Those interested in learning more about this great composer can take a detour to visit the Anton Bruckner Museum in Ansfelden or check out the St Florian Monastery Choir, or even take a break from cycling with a guided tour. Dates and opening hours are listed online.
