The Old Town Hall is still today the seat of the Mayor and the city council, and combines modern architecture with historical finds such as finely chiselled Gothic craftsmanship or paintings from the Biedermeier period.

The Old Town Hall is located at the Main Square of Linz, which is enclosed by buildings with an important historical background and whose striking facades characterise the square's appearance.

In this building you can also find the Tourist Information with helps you with useful information about the city.

On the floor of the foyer there is a huge city map. The arcaded courtyard contains a delightful open-air café and a rare Museum of Dentistry (Zahnheilkundemuseum).
