Music lovers will find a diverse programme of concerts at this architectural jewel on Pöstlingberg hill.
Dance, music and theatre can all be studied in Linz. The Anton Bruckner Private University offers various courses in these areas. Around 850 students and 200 professors are enrolled and employed at the Bruckner University.
Up until 2015, the university was split between a number of locations. A new building, which is highly interesting from an architectural perspective, has been located on Pöstlingberg hill since autumn 2015 and now houses all the university’s fields of study in a single location.
The striking new university building on Pöstlingberg hill in Linz is intended to visually represent a musical instrument and is a designated space where the arts can come to life.

Hosting some 500 events each year, the Bruckner University is also a key hotspot for events in the city. Its concerts by ensembles and orchestras, jazz performances, theatre and dance productions, contemporary music concerts as well as lectures and discussion events make the Bruckner University one of the major coordinators of cultural events in the region. The main auditorium has space for some 330 people, and the smaller performance hall can hold up to 120 guests.
