Bike tours in Linz and Austria Cycling in Linz
Linz has many kilometres of bicycle routes through the city. Cycling (at a walking speed) is also permitted in the pedestrian zone.
Along the Danube, on the Frein- or the Pöstlingberg or comfortably through the city - there are many ways to explore the city by bike. Bicycle rentals, e-bike charging stations and repair workshops ensure trouble-free cycling pleasure in the Danube city.
The Danube Cycle Path is one of the longest long-distance cycle routes in Europe and the stage from Passau to Vienna is the second busiest cycle route in Europe. This stage also leads through the provincial capital Linz.
Various Linz hotels offer special overnight rates for cyclists passing through during the summer months. These rooms can be booked spontaneously through the Tourist Information in the Old City Hall.
Tip: In the Old Town Hall there are also luggage lockers for storing belongings during the cycling excursion.
