OÖ Kulturquartier and Offenes Kulturhaus (OK centre)
The OÖ Kulturqartier connects Landeskulturzentrum Ursulinenhof and Offenes Kulturhaus Oberösterreich (abbreviated OK), and creates a space for adventurous experimental regional culture and international art and festival highlights. Constantly changing exhibitions, the Moviemento repertory cinema, and the restaurants on OK Platz make the OÖ Kulturquartier a lively and inspiring cultural hub.
A visit to the OK Offenes Kulturhaus has become a fixed cultural point for many art lovers. The Offenes Kulturhaus provides a space for the latest movements in contemporary art.
One special feature of the centre is its many years' experience in the area of artistic production, with an emphasis on installation and works of art. Young artists are invited to implement their idea, from the production process right up to the exhibition in the space provided by the OK Offenes Kulturhaus. This cultural centre also provides infrastructure, from a sound and video studio to workshops and an event hall. Exciting group and individual projects, as well as symposia, educational art and music programmes await visitors. Above all, multimedia projects and art installations, which often take up current social issues, allow art lovers to feel the pulse of the times. The OK Offenes Kulturhaus is part of the OÖ Kulturquartier.
