The Biology Centre in Linz-Dornach is all about the animal and plant kingdoms, and about rocks and minerals. With more than 16 million objects, it is the largest natural history collection of Upper Austria. Changing exhibitions and two special exhibitions per year transport you to the world of flora and fauna. Particular emphasis is placed on an educational, visual presentation suitable for school pupils. Regular events and workshops are offered for children and families at the Biology Centre. Directly next to the building, there is a hectare-large ecopark displaying local nature, which is open to visitors as a place of learning and experience.

In addition to its exhibitions and collections, the Biology Centre is also dedicated to scientific activities and research of animals, plants and rocks. Publications appear in the centre's own and in international journals and promote the global exchange of knowledge with natural science institutions. In addition, regular work evenings and lectures on topics from natural science are offered at the Biology Centre Linz.
